Let’s face it, anything that makes the day job easier is going to be a hit! Here’s a little run down of some tools that we find useful whenever we log on to complete client work….
For those of you who don’t know, Hootsuite is a social media scheduling tool. When you have multiple clients with a number of social accounts each, it’s a great way of organising the scheduling of content. If you have global clients it’s great as you can schedule posts at unsociable hours without having to be awake.. winner!
Canva allows you to create anything from a social graphic or cover image to a business poster. With a number of free images and templates you’ll always have something stylish at your fingertips. If you upgrade to premium or take the free month trial Canva offers options such as uploading your own fonts to removing the background from logos, making a transparent background much easier to obtain than having to use photoshop.
If nothing else there is always a need for cropping when you’re creating images for social. Paint 3d is also useful if you need to find out a colour hex code to use in an image on Canva, for example. Just open the image of interest and use the dropper tool to click on the colour, the hex (#) code display on the right. Now copy to brand colours on Canva. Job done!
